Academic misconduct includes, but is not limited to, cheating, plagiarism, fabrication, and violation of course rules.
If you are an instructor at IU and you believe that a student has committed an act of academic misconduct, you should report it to the Office of Student Conduct using the online incident reporting form. Select “Faculty–Academic Integrity” from the dropdown menu in response to the question about your relationship to IU. After submitting the form, you will receive a confirmation email from osc@indiana.edu.
Report academic misconduct- Personal misconduct covers a wide range of acts that include, but are not limited to, trespassing, vandalism, theft, disorderly conduct, unauthorized possession or use of alcohol or drugs, physical or verbal abuse, and unauthorized possession or display of firearms.
- Sexual misconduct includes, but is not limited to, sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking, domestic or dating violence, and sexual exploitation.
- Organizational misconduct refers to misconduct by IU student organizations and includes, but is not limited to, hazing and endangering others. You can view a list of organizations currently on disciplinary status.
Anyone—including students, faculty, staff, parents, and community members—can report an act of personal, sexual, or organizational misconduct to the Office of Student Conduct using the online incident reporting form. After submitting the form, you will receive a confirmation email from osc@indiana.edu.
