The Student Advocates Office can help you resolve personal and academic problems so that you may maintain progress towards earning a degree.
Our team is made up of retired IU faculty and administrators who will help you navigate the many complexities of a large academic institution such as Indiana University.
We can help you:
- Withdraw from ALL classes
- Address issues related to sexual assault, harrassment, and relationship violence
- Respond to charges of academic, personal, or sexual misconduct
- Resolve an academic absence, conflict, or appeal
- Remove a financial hold or submit an appeal
- and more - just ask.

The Student Advocates office is a confidential service for IU students. We welcome parents and/or family members of IU students to contact us with university concerns and guidance. We will do our best to provide accurate information and connect you with appropriate resources while complying with the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). This means certain educational information about your student may be unavailable without a release.
Your student can complete our release of information, permitting us to speak with you about the specifics of their case. Please note this release is only for the Student Advocates Office.
