Rock ’n’ Roll History Questions and Advice

The IU Jacobs School of Music offers many courses devoted to the history of The Blues and Rock ‘n’ Roll, and Professor Andy Hollinden teaches many of them. On Thursday, March 18, Andy will discuss rock music, his courses, and IU’s new Certificate in Rock History. He’ll also be answering your questions. A splendid time is guaranteed for all!

Supporting Your Student’s Career Search

Appropriate for parents of all majors, during this session Rebecca Cook, Executive Director of Undergraduate Career Services in the Kelley School of Business, will provide an overview of Handshake, IU Bloomington’s one-stop job and career event resource for students and employers. Learn how to encourage your student to explore potential careers, get a real sense of what employers are looking for in new hires, and how students can find internship opportunities, part-time jobs and full-time employment.

IU Redstepper Dance Team: Then and Now

The RedStepper Dance Team is an integral part of the IU Marching Hundred. Since 1972, these ladies have added an element of sparkle to the Marching Hundred Band’s performances. Join the RedStepper Coach, Brookelyn Wood, the daughter of the originator of the RedSteppers, Laura Roth, and current team members will discuss the history of the team and the significant changes that have taken place over the years. Game day dances and performances will be demonstrated as well.
