In order to receive accommodations through our office, you must meet the qualifications below.
- You must demonstrate through documentation or have it be visibly obvious that your disorder/impairment meets the definition of a disability under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) of 2008. ADAAA defines a disability as a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life functions.
- Your documentation must not only establish the presence of a substantially limiting condition but also describe its current impact. Diagnosis of a condition, in and of itself, does not automatically confer disability status.
