Bias Incident Reporting
What is a bias incident?
A bias incident targets an individual based on their age, color, religion, disability (physical or mental), race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, or veteran status, as identified in the student code of conduct.
Students at Indiana University are expected to respect the rights and dignity of other students, faculty, and staff.
What should you do if you witness or experience a bias incident?
See it? Hear it? Report it. If you witness or experience a bias incident, submit a Care report here. Reports can be made anonymously.
Why should you report a bias incident?
Reporting incidents of bias, hate, harassment, or discrimination creates awareness to influence change on campus.
