Alex Wilson graduated from Lipscomb University with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. Prior to joining CAPS, he worked in both school based and community based counseling in Nashville, Tennessee, where he saw adults, families, students, and refugees. His therapeutic approach varies depending on the needs of his clients. However, he has a particular interest in Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Solution-Focused Approach. He believes that counseling is important because all students need a safe and open place to talk about their needs. When he is not counseling, he can be found watching sports or reading a book about history.
