About Sam
Sam comes to CAPS after working as a therapist in a community mental health, outpatient setting. He received his Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland, and has worked in various clinical settings including a day treatment program and a partial hospitalization program, as well as private practices. Prior to counseling, he worked as a one-to-one coaching staff with individuals on the Autism spectrum.
Sam uses a person-centered and trauma-informed framework to explore mental health issues using intervention modalities such as solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.
