Note: Stefanie Mokhtarian, Ph.D., Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) Psychologist, will be resigning her position at CAPS effective May 8, 2020. Students may schedule 30 minute virtual visits with another provider by calling 812-855-5711.
Stefanie Mokhtarian, Ph.D., earned her doctorate in counseling psychology and is a licensed psychologist. She earned her undergraduate degree from UCLA and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from University of Southern California. She completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral residency at University of California, Davis Counseling and Psychological Services. Before joining CAPS, she worked as a staff psychologist at California State University, Northridge University Counseling Services. She has particular interest in body image and eating disorder concerns, self-esteem struggles, relationship issues, anxiety, diversity issues, and group counseling. She also has experience in supervising and training advanced doctoral students. Her work is most influenced by mindfulness and interpersonal and cognitive-behavioral approaches. She would be honored to meet with you to explore how she can support you in your journey at IU!
