Prior to joining CAPS, Melissa earned her Master’s degree in Counselor Education from Ohio University and gained experience in college counseling and group private practice settings. She has worked with diverse populations of individuals, couples, and families and has become especially passionate about working with individuals during times of transition. This may include but is not limited to: exploration of identity development, adjusting to school and career, and challenges within relationships or families. Melissa enjoys navigating these transitions alongside clients with an approach that is warm and collaborative, highlighting strengths of individuals while empowering them to use their voice.
