Division of Student Affairs invites Indiana University seniors to apply for $5,000 P.J. and Hilda W. Hill Award
Deadline to apply is February 25
Bloomington, IN. –The Office of the Vice Provost for Student Affairs invites Indiana University seniors to apply for the P.J. and Hilda W. Hill Award. The recipient of this $5,000 award is presented to an outstanding senior on the IU Bloomington campus who has done the most to “better race relationships on the IU campus” during his or her undergraduate career.
Students eligible for this award must:
- Be a graduating senior
- Submit a resume
- Submit 3 letters of recommendation
- Submit a 1-page essay
The essay should answer, “During your undergraduate years at Indiana University, what have you done to improve interracial interaction on the Bloomington campus?” The response should include descriptions of why those contributions were made and the impact they have had or will have on the IUB campus.
“Students are encouraged to take advantage of this amazing opportunity. The Hill Award has been offered every spring and it has become an important tradition to Student Life and Learning. Recognizing a senior who has devoted their time on campus to improve interactions between different races continues the legacy left behind by P.J. and Hilda Hill intended to inspire growth and inclusivity,” said Lori Reesor Vice Provost for Student Affairs.
Applications are being accepted until Friday, February 25, 2017.
